Account and exam data
We collect account data (name, email, phone, employer if provided), exam responses, scores, and session integrity signals needed to administer certification. This data is used to operate the exam, issue credentials, and handle complaints or appeals.
Government ID images
Government ID images are stored in private storage. Retention: hold until the credential decision plus 3 years, or until any appeal window closes, whichever is later, then delete or anonymize.
Payments
Helcim processes card data. AGSI does not store PAN (primary account numbers). We store order identifiers, amounts, and Helcim transaction IDs needed for fulfillment and refunds.
Public directory
On pass, a directory profile is public by default: name, credential, city/state, and employer if provided. A certificant may hide phone, email, and photo. Directory visibility can be managed from the account listing page.
Team quote, franchise, and results-email requests
When you request a team quote, send a franchise program inquiry, or ask us to email your practice results, we collect what you enter (such as name, company, email, optional phone, number of technicians, state, and your message), the page you submitted from, and how you found us (referring site and campaign tags such as utm_source, if present). We use it only to answer your request and, if you check the updates box, to send occasional AGSI certification updates you can unsubscribe from at any time. Inquiries go to the AGSI team only. We do not sell this information or pass inquiries to any grill service company. To have an inquiry deleted, email info@agsinstitute.org.
Cookies, local storage, and site analytics
We use session cookies required to keep you signed in and to protect exam integrity. We also keep first-party site analytics (pages viewed, referring site, campaign tags, approximate country/region) without third-party trackers, and store how you first arrived (for example, a campaign link) in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days so it can be attached to a form you choose to submit. Nothing in local storage is sent to us unless you submit a form. We do not sell personal information.
