Welcome to the website of the American Grill Service Institute (“AGSI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AGSI’s website, materials, services, programs, and digital offerings (collectively, the “Site”).

The AGSI website exists to support the Institute’s mission of advancing professionalism, competence, and public trust within the grill service industry.

AGSI certification:

  • Is not a warranty, endorsement, or assurance of competence in every circumstance

Certification decisions are made independently and according to AGSI policies.

4. Eligibility and Use Restrictions

You agree that you will:

  • Not misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliation

  • Not misuse certification marks or AGSI materials

AGSI reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site at its discretion.

AGSI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use Site materials solely for personal or internal professional reference.

8. Founding Cohort and Program Participation

Participation in AGSI programs (including the Founding Cohort):

  • Is subject to eligibility review

  • Does not guarantee certification

  • Requires compliance with AGSI policies

Founding Cohort recognition is granted only upon successful certification and may be revoked if certification lapses or is withdrawn.

9. Complaints, Appeals, and Submissions

AGSI maintains formal processes for complaints and appeals.

By submitting information to AGSI:

  • You affirm submissions are made in good faith

  • You acknowledge AGSI may investigate as appropriate

  • You understand AGSI does not resolve civil or contractual disputes

AGSI may dismiss submissions that are outside its jurisdiction, unsupported, or frivolous.

10. User Submissions and Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or non-confidential information submitted to AGSI may be used to improve programs, materials, or services without compensation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

AGSI does not solicit confidential or proprietary information through the Site.

11. Privacy

Use of the Site is subject to AGSI’s Privacy Policy. AGSI does not guarantee confidentiality of non-secured communications.
