Product Description
The AGSI Level 2 Certification is the Institute’s advanced professional credential for technicians performing complex grill service, repair, and system-level evaluation beyond routine cleaning.
This product provides exam access and formal evaluation toward the Certified Advanced Grill Service Technician (CAGST)™ credential. Credentialing is awarded only upon successful completion of all requirements, including verification of prerequisite certification, achievement of a passing exam score, and execution of required certification agreements.
Level 2 certification is intended for experienced professionals responsible for diagnostics, component replacement, service decisions, and elevated risk judgment.
Prerequisite Requirement (Mandatory)
To purchase or sit for the Level 2 examination, candidates must already hold:
Level 1: Certified Grill Cleaning Technician (CGCT)™
in good standing at the time of registration and examination.
This prerequisite ensures all Level 2 candidates share a verified baseline of foundational competence. No exceptions are granted.
Certification Scope (Level 2)
This certification applies only to Level 2:
Certified Advanced Grill Service Technician (CAGST)™
CAGST™ confirms demonstrated competence and applied professional judgment in areas such as:
Advanced grill system components and configurations
Service, repair, and replacement considerations
Diagnostic reasoning and troubleshooting frameworks
Risk recognition involving gas, electrical, and mechanical systems
Documentation, escalation, and ethical limits of service authority
This certification evaluates advanced judgment, not routine cleaning or entry-level service tasks.
What This Purchase Includes

Requirements to Earn and Maintain Certification
Certification is not automatic. To earn and retain the CAGST™ credential, candidates must:
Maintain valid CGCT™ status
Achieve a passing score on the Level 2 examination
Agree to AGSI’s:
Code of Professional Conduct
Use of Credential & Marks Policy
Certification Maintenance & Continuing Education (CE) requirements
Remain in compliance throughout the certification term
Failure to meet or maintain these requirements may result in non-issuance, suspension, or revocation of credentialing.
